Trumpet
The trumpet comes in many different variants.
While the ‘standard’ trumpet is in Bb, it also comes in many other keys such as C, D, Eb, high A and high Bb (as well as rarely F and G).
Trumpet players also usually double on conical bore instruments such as the Cornet and Flugelhorn. These differ in sound from the cylindrical trumpet as the taper causes them to have a more rounded and mellow sound, akin to a French horn or euphonium.
