Artificial harmonic: is created by using your first finger to ‘stop’ the string, creating a higher pitch. Simultaneously, press the fourth finger to make the harmonic sound. This allows you to play harmonics of all the chromatic notes, rather than just the natural sounding ones on a string instrument. This creates a whistling, bell-like sound.
